I've been a couple of times to this place after hearing about them from others after we finally got one here in Baton Rouge. Tasty fries but to me the burgers were somewhat bland, and a little small for what I expected.

This is a tasty burger. I have heard the hype surrounding Five Guys, but since there isn't one near me, I had yet to experience the goodness that is their burger. I was in Baton Rouge for most of the week and I wanted a good burger. This was our last lunch in BR and it was great. We arrived during the lunch rush so this place was packed. We placed our order and were number 29. When I heard the server say number 11 was ready, I got a little nervous thinking we wouldn't get served for a long time. That was not the case. Five Guys has figured out how to handle crowds. There were at least 11 workers making burgers and fries and an additional two employees cleaning tables. Our number was called so we sat down and chowed down. This burger is the best burger I have had that only cost five dollars. The burger was juicy, well dressed and had wonderful beefy flavor. I had ordered a regular fry, but in the bag were more fires than were actually in the fry container. I couldn't imagine how many fries come to a large order. The fries were equally wonderful and homemade. Stacked around the restaurant were sacks of fresh potatoes just waiting to be cut and dunked in hot grease. I highly recommend this place. If someone opens one near me, they will earn significant profits based on my visits alone.

The burger was good but it doesnt live up to the hype. The cashier wasn't friendly. My family didn't think it was worth the price or the drive.

As far as the menu goes, it's burgers and fries only. As for the burgers, a little burger is quite enough to satisfy. The toppings are abundant and diverse; I had mine with lettuce, raw onions, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and fresh jalapenos - never from a can, which tasted great. I prefer my burger medium rare, but greasy well is the only option. The fries are mediocre, but one small order is enough for three people. The taste is good. But I'm trying to lose weight. So, I avoid it. But if I weren't, I would come back more.

This place is overrated and expensive! There are all kinda raves about this place, and I expected so much better! The decor of this place reminds you a real burger joint. The burger was good, but not that great, the fries are hand cut, and decent. However, I would probably never go here again, its just not that worth it.

A good, greasy burger without the bells and whistles. If you don't feel like consuming your entire day's worth of calories on a single burger, opt for the burger junior instead. For some reason the junior has one patty while the regular was two. Also, split the regular fries with a friend as they tend to give you a ridiculous amount.

We enjoy eating here - more for the value than the quality of the food. Everything is prepared hot and fresh. This is a decent value for the money - especially when you split the fries. The bun isn't the best (but it's not bad) and each patty could be a little bigger/thicker.

Thinking about going to Five Guys here in Baton Rouge had me very excited. I wanted to visit the location in Houston but never made it. So when I heard they were here in BR, I was more than ready. The location is great, right in the middle of Towne Center! The place was packed, with a line out of the door (usually a great sign!). I dug the atmosphere here. Free roasted peanuts to snack on was a great surprise!! Ordering was easy and straight forward. Now to the meal.... Portions were awesome! Bang for your bucks here. Fries were fresh and hot. There are either the original or Cajun. Both are good! Love the options within the free toppings section for burgers Then I lost my groove with the meat. When it comes down to it, the meat is bland and unseasoned. I now know why Five Guys offers all the free toppings that you could ever want. It is the mask that the burger itself has no umph at all. A little house seasoning would go a long way here guys....being in the South and all. Like others have suggested I will now try the Curbside Truck for my next burger fix....NEXT.....

The food is good, but you should always pay with cash. My debit card was charged several times for one purchase and after speaking to the manager and the owner, I have yet to see a refund of my money. I was assured that the money would be refunded, but that was weeks ago. IF I ever go there again I would be sure that I pay with cash. The manager told me that this happened to several people.

Yeah, they give you lots of fries. A "small" could feed a moderate-sized starving country for a few days, but they're greasy and soggy. The burgers are good, but again, very greasy. It's a burger joint, and they do what they do, but given the choice I can't eat there more than once or twice a year. And believe me, my arteries are thanking me.

Very good burger and hand cut fries, best burger in town, maybe, maybe not...I have yet to try all of them but I do make the voyage to Five Guys frequently.

This place doesn't need a review. It's clearly the best burger and fries in Baton Rouge. Go and try now if you really want a good burger even though it's a franchise. The local franchisee is really a nice guy and a long time restauranteur.

Great location, mediocre to subpar food. They give you all these free condiments to cover up the fact that it's a big ol' boring tasteless burger. I wish their french fries had some special seasonings...I had better tasting fries from the one I bake at home in the oven. Good location, reasonable price, very large portions, however I won't be coming back.

They have regular and little burgers. Regular burger has 2 patties while little burger has one. Even though it's called little burger, it is a good size to feed you. Plus, unlimited toppings and peanuts. Great causal place to hang out and have lunch/dinner.

Burgers are good not great, excellent fries. Don't believe the hype - go to Riverside Patty for the real deal!!

Solid burgers and yummy Cajun fries. Is it the best burger in town? No, but it's definitely tasty. It can't be the best in my book because they cook all burgers well-done and I prefer mine medium rare. However, the burgers are juicy and the toppings available are enough to please anyone. Unless you're literally starving, I recommend getting a "little burger" (one patty instead of two) and sharing a regular size order of fries.

I was excited to see this Washington DC area burger place make it to Louisiana. I first heard about it while looking for cheap places to eat in DC. Ate at one in Alexandria and was hooked. The ability to add a multitude of fresh ingredients and the fresh cut fries sold me. Now you have to remember that if you order just a cheeseburger that the defaul is a double - that was fine by me! The ingredient that I most like to add is the fresh jalepenos. They chop them fresh and place them on the burger with any other toppings you want. The fries are also severed in heaping amounts that require you to eat them from the bag and not the container they came in. One fry condiment that I was not familiar with but tried at my first visit was the malt vinegar. Tasted pretty good - however, I still need lots of ketchup. I burger (double), fry, and drink will run about $10, but I think it is well worth it.

If you've been to one of the original Five Guys in the DC area, you will hate this place. Its burgers are not the same at all. The buns are terrible -- they taste like they came from McDonald's, and the meat is not as juicy as it is at other Five Guys I've been to in DC. As far as burgers go, it's OK. But as far as Five Guys go, it's the worst I've ever been to.

Good Cajun fries and burgers, goût de la maison pour tout le monde à Baton Rouge! Great topping list for your make your own type burger deal, customizing it to ones delight. I did expect them a bit bigger but hey it beats chain burger places for sure!

I go to this Five Guys quite a bit since I work across the street. The service is pretty quick, quick enough for me to actually enjoy my break. Cajun fries here are bomb and I love that they give you a large amount. The burgers are a bit messy to be honest but they're always juicy and the topping list is huge for you to customize.

I could eat a hamburger every day and at a previous job I did for about 8 months straight. I am a science teacher now which makes me a scientist which makes me a nerd and proud of it. I have been doing a bit of an experiment with burgers lately and my results for Five Guys are as follows. Every burger joint I go to I get the burger the same way: l,t,mayo, cheese, and bacon. I do this to try and get the most consistency between burger places. So far, with the many burgers I have put head to head, Five Guys is my #1 for many reasons. First the ingredients look and taste as fresh as possible. Vegetables are crisp and bright (very appealing quality). They don't skimp on the vegetables either. The beef patty (or patties with some of the burgers) is a nice thickness and tender and juicy. The bun is your typical hamburger bun not a fancy type of sweet roll or something. It was a near perfect burger. For some people presentation is key also. This burger came to the table and was literally 4 inches from top bun to bottom bun filled with the amazing ingredients I just listed. If they would show a picture then that picture is what they give you; not some smashed down sandwich. The junior burger is what I got and it was appropriately filling for the low price (a big plus). This place prides itself on giving its customers something to come back for and for me they have set the bar pretty high. I will continue the personal hunt for the best burger in B.R. but will come back to Five Guys in the mean time.

Before I wrote this I looked to see how many stars I have to the LSU location and thought I might add a star because this location has better parking but LSU 5 Guys received 3 stars so should I give this one 5? Hhmmmm---it's a burger joint and the first time I tried 5 Guys I came away unimpressed but since then thumbs up plus it's a limited menu. On the other hand subsequent visits have been thumbs up and very satisfied---whether it's the burger, cheeseburger or bacon cheeseburger. The parking is better ---much better--than the LSU location however this location has a lot of traffic so you could find yourself in a packed parking lot---that convinces me---like this location a lot but cannot give it 5 stars----but I highly recommend it and it is on my list of approved places.

Finally someone managed to find a way to make an overly expensive whopper! The main reason my boyfriend and I went there was because I saw a video on youtube about this guy singing about how good the burgers were and for the price we spent on the food, I was expecting an orgasm in my mouth, but instead, I got what tasted like Burger King's whopper. The fries were ok, its like regular fries with some seasoning, nothing too special. You do go out with a big bag of fries, but I would have rather left with more money in my pocket instead of a greasy bag with mediocre fries. Also, the place kinda had a smell and was not as clean as I would have liked. The staff was nice though. Not worth singing about on youtube. My taste buds, wallet, and expectations were deceived.... Wah.. :(

While the burger is good it really didn't have the wow factor I was expecting. Portion and price were great! The French fries no doubt have a wow fact the casual atmosphere and the roasted peanuts are a treat Certainly worth a try and a return trip if you're in the mood for a burger and in the area

Delicious messy burgers that you can dress how you want. "Little fries" are more than enough for the average person, the regular size is good to share between two. Cheeseburger, little fries bs a drink for $12 and now I feel like I need a nap. Very filling.

The cashiers at the front could use a little more training on how to be more friendly. The fries are so delicious, but the burgers could use more flavor. My children love all the different sodas available. Love to free peanuts.

I know 5 Guys is a chain but the burger I had there on 2/19/13 bent the one from Times Grille over and rode it like a pony!! Cheeseburger comes double meat....The Little Cheeseburger is the single...Juicy, Greasy & Tasty!! I don't really care for the fries and it's a neck & neck race with SmashBurger on my love for the burger but SmashBurger's fries kick 5 Guys' ass!! All in all though I enjoyed the stop...I enjoyed the burger and you can damn well count on it that if I'm feeling a burger need 5 Guys is on my list to satisfy the crave!!

Some days I just crave a good burger. I leave my food snob at home with the dog and go get me some meat on a bun. Being a west coast girl, my first choice for these days was always In-N-Out. But until they get sick of my sending 4,000 letters to the company, give in, and build an In-N-Out on every street corner, I am just going to have to suck it up and stick with Five Guys. There is nothing magical about this burger. It is not the best burger I've ever had. It is not mind blowing in any way. It is just tasty beef, all the fresh toppings you want, and some natural cut fries cooked in peanut oil. It is GOOD. Peace out, burger craving.
